This Is My Story...
I am a wife and special needs mom whose heart and hands are always full! I have always loved public speaking, whether it’s in front of a small crowd, a large crowd, or anything in between! Yet, I find when I am telling “my story” I feel most at home and the most comfortable. Life has a way of knocking us down from time to time, season to season. It’s what we learn in those moments that can have such an impact on ourselves, as well as others.

Motivational Speaking
Life is a journey that seems to constantly change. It is our reaction and our experiences through those moments that can refine us and change us. I have spoken to small crowds of professionals, spoken to large crowds of children, and everything in between on a variety of topics. Yet, it is when I am telling “my story” that I feel I can most relate to others. I speak from my heart, from the life changing situations that have made me who I am. These are my life story topics:
-Finding joy in the struggles (Seeing the positives when parenting a child with special needs)
-Hope in the despair (Our 9 year journey of infertility and the 2 miracles we were blessed with when we were told we never would be)
-Provision in the unknown (Being the wife of a young Stroke Survivor)
-A heart for hospitality (How to provide hospitality to the hurting and the joy of inviting strangers in to your home)
-Encouragement in the chaos (How to encourage and lift up other women who are struggling)
Workshops

Heather Clemens spent more than 10 years in the field of social work, investigating child abuse and neglect; managing the state of Missouri’s School Violence Hotline; educating the public on how to prevent child deaths and injuries. She is an Autism mom and has two children with speech delays. She has also been a foster mom. She is a life group leader, both with families and with women’s groups. She has served as a volunteer in children’s ministry as well. Currently, she is a social media specialist and writer for an advertising agency.
Voice Overs
Heather Clemens has a BA degree in Speech Communications and Human Services and has completed coursework towards a MBA in Marketing.
